Billie Hollimon Cloudt, 87, of Glenwood, NM

Billie Hollimon Cloudt, 87, of Glenwood, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Fort Bayard Medical Center in Silver City. A Celebration of Life will be held at Glenwood Community Center, Saturday, December 12, 2015 beginning at 12:00 noon.

Billie was born in Silver City, New Mexico, on February 16, 1928, the daughter of Fred Hollimon and Clarice Jones Hollimon. She is survived by her daughter Terri Menges of Silver City, NM, her son Jeff Menges and his wife Suzanne Menges of Safford, Arizona, and stepson Bill Cloudt and his wife Nancy of Rodeo, NM; grandchildren Mark Menges, Ben Menges, Luke Menges, Todd Yocham and his wife Wendy of Cerrillos, NM, and Shawna and husband Jeremy Plumb of Paulden, Arizona; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Yocham and Tyler, Rachael and Katherine, and Cerria Plumb.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob Cloudt and granddaughter Alma Cloudt.

Billie was a long-time resident of Alma, New Mexico. She graduated from Silver High School as the valedictorian of her class. She also graduated from Colorado Women's College. She was well known in the area as a dedicated ranch wife. She spent much of her time in the 1970's and 1980's on the family's ranches in the Eagle Creek area in Greenlee County. Billie was an artist as well as an avid gardener. In addition to her family, one of her great loves was raising many beloved hound puppies, kittens and always having a personal dog. It always brought her happiness when she saw her pets "Sammie" and "Cali" at Ft. Bayard.
