RESERVE, NM; June 18, 2015 – For Immediate Release – The Pinon Fire on the Reserve Ranger District has grown to 110 acres. The lightning-caused fire east of Eagle Peak is being managed to achieve resource objectives such as protecting wildlife habitat, cultural resources and livestock forage in the area.
Personnel assigned to the incident have observed slow, steady growth, primarily to the south and west. As the fire progresses, actions will be taken to prevent rapid fire spread within the pre-determined management area for the incident.
