Albuquerque, NM- Today the Republican State Leadership Committee's (RSLC) Future Majority Project (FMP) named Representatives Alonzo Baldonado, of Los Lunas, who is the House Majority Whip and Sharon Clahchischilliage, of Kirtland, to their Future Majority Project— a program designed to recruit more Republican candidates representing the diversity of America.

"Representatives Baldonado and Clahchischilliage will be a great addition to the Future Majority Project because both have done a tremendous job advocating conservative values to increasingly diverse communities," said Debbie Maestas, Chairman for the Republican Party of New Mexico. "They represent the future of our party."

Today, the RSLC announced the re-launch of its Future Majority Project, which seeks to recruit, train and elect Republican candidates from diverse communities on the state and local level who represent the growing diversity in America.

In 2013-2014, FMP recruited hundreds of new candidates and elected 43 new leaders to office. Also announced in today's re-launch, FMP aims to recruit 250 new, diverse candidates this cycle and see 50 of those candidates appointed or elected to office.

"We are excited to get to work, recruit more candidates who can champion commonsense conservative principles and values that will move New Mexico forward," said Representatives Baldonado.

Alonzo Baldonado and Sharon Clahchischilliage are members of the New Mexico House of Representatives. They are part of the first Republican House Majority in over 60 years.
