A state-approved Alcohol Server Training class is scheduled in Silver City on Tuesday, July 21. It is being presented by Border Area Mental Health Services at its offices located at 315 S. Hudson St., Suite 11.
The class will begin at 9 a.m. and should conclude no later than 1:30 p.m., according to Steve May, a BAMHS program specialist and a state-certified alcohol sever training instructor.
"People who work in the liquor industry, whether selling it by the drink or in a licensed retail outlet, must be certified every three years," May said. "The class is available to individuals who are seeking first-time certification and also for people who need to renew their certification," he added.
Cost of the class is $35. No personal checks are accepted, only cashier's checks, money orders, or business checks, May said.
