CEMCO, Inc., a third-generation family owned and operated New Mexico company, is established as the worldwide leader for VSI (Vertical Shaft Impact) Crusher manufacturing. CEMCO provides equipment, like the Portable Recirculating VSI Crusher Plant under assembly pictured in the NAM article, to the aggregate industry for concrete and asphalt production. "Many end users of our VSI Crushers will be adversely impacted by the overzealous regulations coming against businesses from Washington," said CEMCO Vice President Jennifer Hise. "We appreciate the work NMBC does in New Mexico and at the federal level to support our efforts as a job provider to New Mexicans and manufacturer of quality products worldwide."
One example of NMBC's work is when it joined NAM on a nationwide campaign against the Obama Administration's burdensome new ozone standard. NMBC President Carla Sonntag said. "While the fight is far from over, we believe our work alongside the NAM reduced the severity of the ozone rule."
As an organization that provides a wide range of business and individual membership levels, NMBC has developed more than 300 active members and engaged thousands of New Mexicans in its pro-business advocacy work. The NMBC remains focused on state and federal legislation that will allow businesses to operate profitably and produce jobs. In addition, NMBC is looking at new opportunities to develop more manufacturing in the state. "An increased manufacturing presence would provide a huge economic benefit to New Mexico," says President Carla Sonntag.
