Work Session/Regular Meeting
The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene in a Work Session on Tuesday,
November 10, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Commissioner Meeting Room at the Grant County Administration Center located at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico. The tentative agenda is as follows:

IV. Purpose
The general purpose of the county Work Session is to inform the Grant County Board of Commissioner of the agenda items that will be addressed at the next Regular Meeting, and for the Department Heads and other Elected Officials to communicate with the Commissioners in regard to matters in their respective departments. In accordance with Grant County Resolution No. 15-01, we welcome the public to attend the county Work Session, but there will be no public input permitted at this meeting.

The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene in a Regular Meeting on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Commission Meeting Room at the Grant County Administration Center located at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico. • During this portion of our meeting we welcome your suggestions and want to hear your concerns. This is not a question and answer period; speakers will be limited to five (5) minutes. Any individual who would like to discuss an item in more depth may request to be placed on a future agenda. Request forms are available in the County Manager’s Office.
XIII. Public Preliminary Hearing for Fleming Tank Road and Wind Canyon Estates Subdivision Area Proposed Creation of an Improvement District in Accordance with NMSA Section 4-55A-12
• Discussion and public comment on the question of creating an improvement district as authorized in Section 4-55A-10 at which any owner of a tract or parcel of land to be assessed or upon which it is proposed to impose an improvement district property tax may contest the following:
(1) the proposed assessment or tax;
(2) the regularity of the proceedings relating to the improvement;
(3) the benefits of the improvement; or
(4) any other matter relating to the improvement district.
• At this preliminary hearing, the Board of Commissioners may:
(1) correct any mistake or irregularity in any proceeding relating to the improvement;
(2) correct an assessment to be made against or an improvement district property tax to be imposed upon any tract or parcel of land;
(3) in case of any invalidity, reassess the cost of the improvement against a benefiting tract or parcel of land; or
(4) recess the hearing from time to time.
