The Mustangs got back on the winning track last Saturday due in no small part to a solid performance by their defense. Junior DB Alfonso Wilson was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for his part in the victory.
Wilson had a 32-yard interception that he returned for a TD in the 36-20 win over Adams State. He added 6 tackles including 4 solo stops along with a QB sack. His INT was one of three Mustang picks on the day.
The Mustangs will return home Saturday for their final home game of the season as they take on struggling Chadron State College. Game time is noon.
