Mimbres Region Arts Council (MRAC) is celebrating National Arts & Humanities month with an online student art exhibition. Prizes will be awarded!
MRAC is partnering with Americans for the Arts to celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month.
October has been designated to encourage everyone to explore new facets of the arts and humanities in their lives, and to begin a lifelong habit of active participation in the arts.
#MRACstudentexhibition2015
MRAC is using Instagram to focus attention on the creativity and talent of our community's high school and undergraduate students. An online exhibition of art work will be created using #showyourart and #MRACstudentexhibition2015.
How To Participate
- Snap a pic of your artwork created in the last 12 months.
- Share it on instagram with hashtag #showyourart #MRACstudentexhibition2015. Be sure to use both # hashtags.
- Follow Mimbres Region Arts Council @mimbresarts and @American4Arts
- Exhibition & contest rules posted @mimbresarts and Facebook
- Deadline for entries is 5 pm, 11/27. Winners Announced 12/4.
Awards
Works will be judged in two grade categories, High School and Undergraduate. Awardees will have artwork shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram social media as well as prizes from Leyba & Ingalls Arts.
- Best of Show (1) $50 Gift Certificate to Leyba & Ingalls Art Supply
- Awards of Distinction (1-4) $25 Gift Certificate from Leyba & Ingalls Art Supply
- The art department of each Best of Show winner will also be awarded a $50 Gift Certificate
- All Entrants will be eligible for a FREE one year Student Membership to MRAC
