Albuquerque, NM - October 21, 2015 - Call for Artists 2016! The New Mexico Jazz Workshop invites New Mexico-based Jazz, Blues or Salsa bands to apply for consideration to perform next year in a New Mexico Jazz Workshop concert or event. The application is open now through December 15, 2015.
The submission criteria and an online application can be found at http://www.nmjazz.org/perform-1.aspx. Applications will only be accepted through the online submission process and only between Oct.15 and Dec.15, 2015. No late applications will be accepted.
In 2016, the New Mexico Jazz Workshop will celebrate its 40th birthday, and the organization is reaching out through this process to solicit new musical concepts as well as more traditional performance offerings. NMJW's flagship series, "Jazz, Blues & Salsa Under the Stars" is a popular 20-concert summer series held on Friday and Saturday nights at the Albuquerque Museum amphitheater. The artists for this and other 2016 performances and events will use this process if they are interested in performing.
