Bernard Raymond Jensen, a long-time resident of Silver City, NM died of natural causes on 10/11/15 at age 86.
Bernard was born in Iowa. He spent many years in Iowa and Nebraska farming. He was later drafted into the Navy and served overseas for five years. After honorable discharge, he eventually settled in New Mexico where he lived with his wife Sally. Bernard worked for the railroad as a conductor for the Southern Pacific. He worked for the railroad for roughly forty years before retiring.
Bernard is preceded in death by his wife Sally and sister Dana. He is survived by his sisters Marge and Phyllis, brother Darrell, his daughter Tinker Sharp, son-in-law Scott Sharp, grandchildren Shelley Taylor, Sherrey Marrufo-Gray, Shane Henry, great grandchildren Alexis Marrufo, Kyle Taylor, Lauren Taylor and Addison Hutchinson. Private services have been held. Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory.
