Las Cruces - The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with FNF Construction (contractor) continues work along I-25 and the city roadway enhancements of Missouri Avenue and its intersections of Triviz and Don Roser Drive.
FNF has switched the south bound traffic onto the new alignment and working to get the north bound changed by Thursday September 24th. A left lane closure on I-25 south bound is needed for the placement temporary wall barriers before north bound can be switched. The contractor anticipates the lane closure to be up between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Thursday. Be cautious of the narrow bridge and be courteous to merging traffic.
City intersections of Missouri Ave/Don Roser and Missouri Ave/Triviz Drive will continue to have active construction. FNF will begin work on the median curb of Missouri Avenue just east of Don Roser Drive and west Triviz Drive. The traffic will be constricted to one lane in each direction. The traffic constraints will be noticed on September 22nd and work will begin the following day for a week.
The south leg of Don Roser Drive between Missouri Avenue and Fairway Drive will continue to be closed. A wall barrier and pavement markings will need to be placed before the reopening of this section.
Complete road closure at Missouri Avenue between Don Roser Drive and Triviz Drive will be less frequent but necessary to complete intersection work. Please follow detours or seek alternate routes during this closure.
To complete the electrical installation it will be necessary to trench across Don Roser Drive and Triviz Drive. FNF plans to do this work on the weekend of October 2nd through October 4th. Triviz Drive will be closed between Johns Street and E. Idaho Avenue between Friday 8:00PM to Monday 6:00AM. The following week the contractor anticipates the work on Don Roser between Missouri and E. Idaho Avenue. We apologize for any inconvenience and will work hard to accelerate this closure.
The NMDOT and FNF Construction will have their next monthly Public Involvement meeting Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the NMDOT Las Cruces Complex located at 750 North Solano.
