As President Hugs & Kisses pulls America out of the Middle East, believing that peace will erupt as the Evil Empire leaves the region, Russia has started building its military presence. More troops are already in Syria and now the world's largest submarine has set sail for the Syrian coast.
The Dmitri Donskoy set sail from its North Sea base on September 4th and will be in Syria on or about the 14th. It is being escorted by 2 warships. The really disturbing part about this, is that the Dmitri Donskoy is carring 20 Bulava intercontinental missiles, with an estimated 140-200 nuclear warheads. Each missile is capable of carrying 6-10 MIRV nuclear warheads. Oh and it gets better; each Bulava has a range of 10,000 KM. Probably being used for defensive purposes don't you think?
Aren't these the missiles Russia was going to destroy, following Glorious Leader's good faith gesture of unilaterally destroying hundreds if not thousands of our nuclear warheads? You know, to show them that we weren't a threat, that we didn't want war. Here take our lunch money, we weren't hungry anyway.
But don't worry, Secretary of State John F. Kerry is on the case. He made an urgent phone call on the 5th to Russian Foreign Minister Sergy Lavrov. He expressed great concern that Russia's military buildup could be used to confront U.S. ships in international waters; not just to shore up Syria's President Assad.
Lurch made it very clear that Russia's actions could escalate the conflict, increase refugee flows, and endanger the anti-ISIS coalition currently getting their butts kicked in Syria and the region. I'm sure Kerry told the Russian Foreign Minister that if they didn't pull back, he'd put his boss on the phone. Not the one with the Nobel Prize but the one working on school lunches; she'd take away his dessert, if they aren't careful.
Not only does this administration not have a clue, they don't have a backbone, they don't have a stick, and they have no credibility in the world theater. Putin is probably laughing at Obama and Kerry while he's nailing a Russian supermodel and arm wrestling a bear.
